LOVE STOKE 100

A NEW FRAMESCAPE / HERITAGE LOTTERY PROJECT

Love Stoke 100 is a community-driven initiative encouraging young people to create short films about why they love Stoke-on-Trent’s history and culture.

In 2025 Stoke on Trent will celebrate its 100th birthday! It's 100 years since the City obtained official City status from King George V and to remember this occasion we are curating a project whereby we challenge and enable people from across the area to create 100 short films about why they love Stoke. A quick look online or on You Tube will reveal quite a negative opinion of Stoke. Content created by people from the City and by visitors portrays a City plagued by social issues and lacking purpose or identity. The people, places and ideals that made our City and which continue to provide inspiration for current and future generations are sadly lacking. As we turn 100 we want to flood the site and our City with positivity - Positive memories, brilliant people, amazing achievements and the best of Stoke on Trent.

All opportunities are being tendered following Heritage Lottery procurement guidelines.

Social Media Content Creator Role

Are you passionate about Stoke-on-Trent’s heritage and eager to share it with others? We’re looking for a dynamic young person to promote and manage a community-driven initiative encouraging young people to create short films about why they love Stoke-on-Trent’s history and culture.

In this role you’ll take a lead role in promoting the project through traditional channels and social media platforms, creating your own short film content, helping spread the word and engage other young people. You’ll attend local events, promote the project’s activities, and collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure a successful and creative journey for participants.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves connecting with people, is comfortable with social media, and has a passion for promoting Stoke-on-Trent’s rich heritage. No previous experience is required, but enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to engage others are key.

If you’re ready to be part of an exciting project celebrating the community’s heritage and empowering young voices, we want to hear from you!

This is a part time opportunity over a ten month period starting in February.
